42st Annual Meeting of the International Society for Developmental Psychobiology, 2009

Chicago, Oct. 14- 17

Call for Symposia 2009

We now invite you to submit proposals for symposia for our 2009 meeting, to be held October 14-17 at the Westin O'Hare, Chicago.

Proposal applications should include the following information:

1) Symposium title
2) A short (250 words), integrative abstract outlining the theme of the symposium (see criteria below)
3) Speakers´ names and affiliations
4) A brief summary of each speaker's presentation (100 words each)

A successful proposal will address the following criteria:

1) Interest to ISDP members
2) Innovation and novelty, including cross-disciplinary topics
3) Reputation of speakers
4) Likelihood that the symposium will generate discussion and/or stimulate fruitful interactions

We are particularly interested in proposals that are likely to stimulate formal and informal discussion. Although the inclusion of a discussant is not a requirement, there should be integration of topics across the individual speakers. At least one speaker must be an ISDP member and speakers must represent different laboratories.

Symposium speakers may be asked to help judge poster sessions.

Symposium proposals should be sent to Rachel Barr via email
(rachelfbarr@gmail.com) by April 15.

Amy Jo "AJ" Marcano-Reik has created a facebook group for the International Society for Developmental Psychobiology. After you have gone to facebook.com to create your profile, the group can be found by typing 'International Society for Developmental Psychobiology' into the search field. And then click on "join group!" Everyone could contact AJ with suggestions and/or questions as our ISDP Facebook group continues to grow -- it's still in its early "developmental stage." It is our hope that this group is a helpful and useful way for our members to stay connected.
